2008 Miss Rodeo Arkansas
Dilynn Dodd
Dilynn Dodd is the 22 year old daughter of
David and Debbie Dodd of Springdale,
Arkansas. She is a graduate of the
University of Arkansas in Fayetteville with
a Bachelor of Science Degree in
Agricultural Education. Dilynn grew up in
the saddle and started rodeoing at the age
of 6 in junior rodeos.
In high school rodeo, she was active in
cutting, barrel racing, pole bending,
breakaway roping, goat tying and team
roping. That helped her to achieve the
Arkansas High School Rodeo Association
All-around Cowgirl in 2003.
After graduating high school, she attended
the University of Arkansas in Monticello
for two years obtaining her Associate’s
Degree, where she was on the rodeo team.
She then returned to northwest Arkansas
to finish a Bachelor’s Degree. In
attendance, she was a member of the
honorary societies Alpha Zeta and Gamma
Sigma Delta. During this time she also
served as Miss Rodeo of the Ozarks 2006.
Currently she is still rodeoing; competing
in Barrel Racing and Breakaway Roping in
the Cowboys Regional Rodeo Association
(CRRA) and the Arkansas Rodeo
Association (ARA).
While continuing to rodeo, representing
America’s #1 sport of rodeo and the
natural state of Arkansas, Dilynn is also
substitute teaching when she is home. As
a cowgirl, Dilynn’s passion for rodeo lives
deep within who she is, and is proud to be
Miss Rodeo Arkansas 2008. That is why
she will be traveling not only over the state
of Arkansas but over the United States
attending rodeos and making other
appearances.
