Teen Miss Rodeo Arkansas is a young lady between the ages of 14-18 who strives to promote the state of Arkansas and the sport of professional rodeo, and in so doing, promote the great western way of life. Teen Miss Rodeo Arkansas will be an outgoing and great horsewoman with a vast knowledge of the sport of rodeo, the equine industry and the state of Arkansas. She is a young lady who has a sincere interest in promoting her state and professional rodeo. The Teen division will be conducted much like the Miss Rodeo Arkansas division. The contestants will be judged on photogenics, appearance, modeling, personality, speech, interview and horsemanship. A western style dress is appropriate for the modeling portion of the competition. Each contestant will be asked an impromptu question, of the judges choosing, while on stage. Each contestant will also give a two minute speech about the state of Arkansas or the western way of life. During the horsemanship portion of the competition, the contestants will be judged on a preset pattern and a queen's run. The preset pattern will be made available to each contestant after her application has been received. Contestants must wear Wrangler jeans for horsemanship along with a fitted shirt. No chaps, vests, or jackets are allowed. During the interview phase, Teen Miss Rodeo Arkansas contestants should be prepared to answer questions pertaining to the sport of rodeo, current events, the equine industry, and information from her entry form. The personality and appearance portions of the competition are judged throughout each phase of the pageant. Each contestant needs to submit one 8x10 color photograph and two 5x7 black and white photographs along with their entry form. The 8x10 will be used for judging the photogenic competition. The 5x7 photographs will be used for advertisement purposes. These photographs should be of the contestant in western attire. Photos will become the property of Miss Rodeo Arkansas, Inc.
